A simple concept, one designated area where you can see the posts from each blog you subscribe to. The big difference is Google Reader is backed by legendary Google algorithms, which suggest new blogs that you’ll absolutely love.

In the good old days blog documents with multiple contributors had to be emailed, edited, and email again and again. Multiple editions, emails, editors and writers equals disaster. But then came the golden age of the cloud, and Google Docs was born.
Now instead of having different documents strewn over several desktops, everyone can use one source. Collaborators can write, chat, and edit together with a nifty autosave feature.

Keeping blogs topical is important to increasing readership, and long-term growth. So instead of picking a topic and just hoping for the best, take 3 or 4 ideas and compare them with Google Trends. Doing so will show search high points and region popularity over time. This will give insight into if your blog topics are hot, or not.

Want to be a ninja in a topic? Set up a Google Alert to send an email whenever a new video, blog, or article is published in a specific category. Send a little or send a lot, with Google Alerts you have total control.
