Project scopes are written for all those involved in a project so that everybody understands the expectations of the project.  The project scope is developed with a provider of services or goods in mind, so that all deliverables and deadlines are made perfectly clear.

Scopes are passed between the project manager and clients until all of the details of a project are mutually agreed upon. They inform you about a provider’s process so you are aware of deliveries and/or expenses. A thorough document means a controlled project.

Project scope is used in project management to describe the amount of work that needs to be done in order for a project to be completed or a goal to be accomplished.

With any project people, time and money have to be managed. It is the project scope that defines such important perimeters as how many, how long and how much. If the scope is not properly described than you risk project mismanagement.
